The Youth Committee’s objective is to build relationships with children by planning activities that are enjoyable and stimulate their interest within the Masjid and beyond. Through these activities, we provide opportunities that foster mentorship, build leadership skills and enhance spiritual knowledge. Our ultimate goal is to develop future leaders who will return and give back to the community.
As a committee we continue to promote youth involvement and recognition of their many academic achievements and good character deeds. Some activities include family game night, movies and film showcase, sewing, cooking and field trips. Additional activities may extend outside Masjidullah to include interfaith and community outreach with major emphasis placed on the importance of volunteerism.
The committee also plans activities for our two main holidays, Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Adha. The focus of these activities is to create a festive celebration and provide gifts for the children.
The Youth Activity committee interfaces with Sister Clara Mohammed Islamic Weekend School to extend their support and assistance to students.
It is our desire that by providing fun and wholesome activities, students will stay connected and involved in Masjidullah.
